HOW TO BUILD A MODULAR COMPOUND FEED PLANT
Many stock farms build their own feed plants to provide themselves with a stable forage base, to control the quality of the feedstock and not to depend on the suppliers. Medium and small agro-enterprises have a need for their own compound feed plant. But for production of high-quality competitive products you need the corresponding equipment. Absence of industry-level equipment on the market of medium and small enterprises does not allow them to satisfy the modern requirements to the level of plant equipment and produce the quality compound feed. Mechanical engineering company «Technex» offers modern solution of this problem – arrangement of production line in a single-space building similar to its arrangement on big compound feed plants. This solution is realized in projects of complete modular compound feed plants.

Modular compound feed plant by «Technex» consists of separate construction sections (modules). All constituent elements are optimally assembled in each module, which allows making the maximum efficient use of the available space. Each module has standard elements: adapters, flow pipes, supporting structures, as well as entry and exit points in several versions. The modules are joined together by transport elements. This gives speed advantage of designing.
Technological line is assembled of ready modules:
Raw material dosing module. The solution is made on the basis of long scales completely placed under the bins. The total volume of the bins can reach up to 850 m.cub. Loading is realized by one or two routes. It is possible to install the module outside the production building.
AVMA dosing module. The solution is made on the basis of round scales and bins with vibroactivators (for hard-flowing raw materials).It is possible to batch from 6 to 8 components in one module.
Milling module. It is possible to apply any grinding system: vertical hammer mills and horizontal roller mills.
Mixing module. Speed paddle mixer for the volume of 1000, 2000 or 4000 liters is applied depending on the capacity.
Pelleting module. Hot pellet after the pellet mill goes directly to the cooler, situated immediately under the pellet mill. Fans, conditioners, steam supply system and crumbler are arranged in the upper part of the module. Standard or long-term conditioning is applied. Due to the height limitation of the production line, plants using pelleting install a transfer bin for the operating storage of the raw materials stock for 30…60 minutes of pelleting module operation.
Automatic addition of raw materials in the transfer bin is carried out continuously, by using the readings of low-level and high-level sensors. The module for heat treatment and pelleting can be considered as an independent unit which will blend in already existing facility.
Finished product warehouse module: it is presented by compact bin assembly with square section that considerably increases usable storage capacity in comparison with round section. Assembly consists of four bins with one discharge point.
Automated control system for modular compound feed plant by "Technex" is the separate module including the assembly of power cabinets and an operator’s workstation. One operator can control a modular plant from a computer. "Technex" has carried out a number of projects of modular compound feed plants. Plants with capacity from 5 to 20 t/h successfully work in Sverdlovsk and Tver regions, in the Republic of Tatarstan and North Ossetia, and also in Kazakhstan.
